Sylvia by A.R. Gurney

The story of a man and his dog, Sylvia is a comedy about a mid-life crisis, the challenges of human connection and the nature of love and loyalty.

The Story:
Greg and Kate have moved to Manhattan after 22 years of child-raising in the suburbs. Greg's career as a financial trader is winding down, while Kate's career as a public-school English teacher is beginning to offer her more opportunities. Greg brings home a dog he found in the park - or that has found him - bearing only the name "Sylvia" on her name tag. A street-smart mixture of lab and poodle, Sylvia becomes a major bone of contention between husband and wife. She offers Greg an escape from the frustrations of his job and the unknowns of middle age. To Kate, Sylvia becomes a rival for affection. And Sylvia thinks Kate just doesn't understand the relationship between man and dog. The marriage is put in serious jeopardy until, after a series of hilarious and touching complications, Greg and Kate learn to compromise, and Sylvia becomes a valued part of their family.

Firebringer

At the dawn of civilization, one woman had a bright idea!

We are thrilled to present Firebringer, brought to life on the glorious Magnolia Theatre stage inside The Lincoln Center in Fort Collins.

The Story:

Firebringer is a stone-age musical about a tribe of early humans led by Jemilla, the Peacemaker.  Jemilla stands for good, modern stone-age values, like working hard and trying to understand the world. But one member of the tribe doesn't seem to fit in: Zazzalil. She doesn't like gathering nuts and berries all day, every day. In fact, she's always trying to come up with ways to make life easier and in doing so, Zazzalil stumbles upon the most important discovery in human history. One that will take her and her tribe on a whirlwind adventure, pitting them against a duck, a mammoth, and the deadliest predator alive - Snarl.

Firebringer features the viral song "We Got Work to Do", which caused the internet to unanimously sing:

"I don't really want to do the work today."

Tickets Available May 6th
